CLOCK PROJECT
I made a prototype clock with MDF.
The outcome is fine, the back piece surrounded with shadow of different things within our daily life. The front piece,I tried to use images to represent timing instead of number. However the texture of MDF is not good enough. I think I will use acrylic as my final clock's media. The images surrounding need to be adjust as well, I am not happy with some part of it.

David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture
&
Lucian Freud Portraits

20 Febrauary is an exhibition day.
I visited 2 exhibition within a day.

The 'David Hockney RA:A Bigger Picture',which held in Royal Academy of Arts.
My friend and I took more than an hour to queue for the ticket.
I don't know much about David Hockney before.
I went for it just because my friend loves him.
This is my first time to see so many Hockney's works and
I fall in love with his passion and painting.
The theme of his painting is simple, most are views and forest, trees etc.
It sounds boring but Hockney used bright colour to paint them, the amazing combination of the colours and his creation attracted me.

It hard to get a ticket of 'Lucian Freud Portraits' as well.
Lucian Freud's painting style is totally different from Hockney.
If we think Hockney's works representing SUNSHINE,
Lucian's work must be MOONLIGHT.
Nevertheless, I love Lucian's painting as well.
His painting skills is awesome and full of passion.
After today, there are 2 more names added into my favorite artists list.
What a fruitful day.

CLOCK PROJECT

What is the relationship between time and daily life?
We are living in a task orientated society.Nowadays people always mention time management, try hard to finish as many task as they could within in a short period. We chasing time everyday but what are we actually chasing for?
For better life?
For fun?
For your dream?
What are we actually chasing for?
What's the reason we keep on chasing time?

CLOCK PROJECT
2Feb(Thursday)
Royal Observatory at Greenwich
Clock is a time keeping stuffs.
In order to know more about time.
I went to the Royal Observatory at Greenwich.
I am glad to be there.
The history of clockmaking and it's development are not as bored as I thought.
I found it's quite fascinating.
What interested me is a part called" Time and society"
It arouse me to think about the relationship between time and us.
We are timekeeping animal. Time helps organise society as well as our lives.
I am thinking to use it as the theme of my clock.
Although I still have no idea what I am going to design,
I feel this might be a quite interesting theme for me to move on.
