David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture
&
Lucian Freud Portraits
20 Febrauary is an exhibition day.
I visited 2 exhibition within a day.
The 'David Hockney RA:A Bigger Picture',which held in Royal Academy of Arts.
My friend and I took more than an hour to queue for the ticket.
I don't know much about David Hockney before.
I went for it just because my friend loves him.
This is my first time to see so many Hockney's works and
I fall in love with his passion and painting.
The theme of his painting is simple, most are views and forest, trees etc.
It sounds boring but Hockney used bright colour to paint them, the amazing combination of the colours and his creation attracted me.
It hard to get a ticket of 'Lucian Freud Portraits' as well.
Lucian Freud's painting style is totally different from Hockney.
If we think Hockney's works representing SUNSHINE,
Lucian's work must be MOONLIGHT.
Nevertheless, I love Lucian's painting as well.
His painting skills is awesome and full of passion.
After today, there are 2 more names added into my favorite artists list.
What a fruitful day.
